Lori Ann Davis’s four secrets to an unstoppable relationship came from her own experience as well as what she learned working with clients as a counselor and certified relationship specialist for over twenty-eight years.
We asked Lori a few questions about her book and her experience with custom publishing.
What inspired you to write this book?
I was inspired by my own relationships as well as my belief that everyone deserves to have a passionate and loving partnership. In my twenty-eight years as a counselor, I have seen too many people who settle for less and are unhappy. No one teaches us how to have long-term satisfying relationships. I have devoted my life’s work to sharing the secrets I have learned.
What do you hope readers gain from it?
My primary goal is to give you the power to create the relationship you want and deserve. This book is meant to teach you all you need to know to be the best partner you can be, which in turn will bring out the best in your partner. It gives you a road map to follow utilizing small changes that practiced consistently will create big changes in your life with your partner.
Why did you choose custom publishing?
I wanted the expertise of a publisher to help me create the best possible book for my readers. I wanted to work with someone who had my best interest in mind and who would guide me each step in publishing my book. This is my first book, and I wanted that guidance. I also wanted to have the final say in the end result, and I feel that SPARK Publications’ services gave me the best of both.
How is your book part of your broader professional goals?
This book is one aspect of my career. Through individual coaching, I can only reach a small group, but through the book, I hope to reach a much larger audience. I am committed to getting my message out to as many people as I can.
What’s next for you?
I hope to start traveling across the United States teaching the lessons available in this book. This book was written primarily for women, and I have started writing the next book, which will help men understand women and allow them to be better partners and have more passionate relationships.
Do you have any advice for other authorpreneurs?
Yes, do not try to go it alone. Find someone to work with that understands you and what you are trying to accomplish. Do not let the end product scare you away. Just start writing and the journey will take on a life of its own.
